Good Question
Why not just turn on auto-updates?
WordPress can update plugins on its own, and for a simple blog that's often fine. For a business site it's a gamble: auto-updates run at random times, nobody checks the site afterwards, and when two plugins stop working together you find out from a customer. There's also no backup taken right before the update to roll back to.
With a maintenance plan, a person backs up your site, applies the updates, checks that your forms, checkout and key pages still work, and fixes problems before your visitors see them.

How much does WordPress maintenance cost?
Our plans start at $199/month (CAD) for VIP Essentials and go up to $3,499/month for VIP Total Pro, which includes unlimited edits. Yearly billing costs less.
Is there a contract?
No. Plans are month-to-month and you can cancel anytime. You can also upgrade or downgrade whenever you need to.
Can you maintain a site another agency built?
Yes. We start with onboarding and an audit, then take over the updates and monitoring.
What happens if an update breaks my site?
We take a backup before updating, so we can restore the site quickly. On sensitive sites we test updates on a staging copy first, so problems are caught before they reach the live site.
Should I turn on WordPress auto-updates?
For a small personal blog, maybe. For a business site, we recommend updates applied by someone who checks the site afterwards. See "Why not just turn on auto-updates?" above.
I have way too many plugins. Can you help?
Yes. Plugins you don't use, that overlap or that are no longer maintained slow your site down and make every update riskier. We'll tell you which ones can go.
Do you use AI to update my site or answer support?
