E-commerce Development

Online Stores Built Around How You Actually Sell

End-to-end e-commerce development on WooCommerce, Shopify, or a fully custom build. We're a technical team that builds what plugins and templates can't, from a rental system priced by the day to an employee store where staff spend a monthly allowance tied to their benefits.

Why It Matters

Plugins handle the usual. We build the rest.

Most stores start with a theme and a stack of plugins. When your idea goes past what they can do, you need a team that writes the code. If you think it might not be possible, ask us.

We build for:

Price lists per customer, volume tiers, and contract rates

Stock that matches what's on your shelves

Orders that flow straight to accounting and shipping

Custom features built in, with fewer plugins to break

Connected Systems

One order. Zero retyping.

When your store is connected to the rest of your business, each order moves through every system on its own. No one copies it into a spreadsheet, and stock on the website stays right.

Everything your store needs, built around your catalogue.

1

Custom storefronts

Fast product pages, filters that match how your customers shop, and content your team can update without a developer.

2

B2B & wholesale portals

Private logins, customer-specific pricing, quick-order forms, purchase orders, net-30 terms, and quote requests.

3

Subscriptions & memberships

Recurring billing, failed-payment retries, and accounts where customers pause, skip, or change their plan.

4

Inventory & accounting sync

Your store talks to the software you already use for inventory, accounting, and shipping, so stock and orders update on their own.

5

Rentals & configurators

Equipment rentals with booking dates, and products customers build option by option, priced correctly every time.

6

Platform migrations

Move products, customers, order history, and search rankings off an old platform without starting over.

The Stack

Shopify, WooCommerce, or custom? We'll tell you which.

Shopify is a great fit for a lot of stores, and we build on it when it fits yours. It gets expensive and awkward once you need custom pricing, private wholesale ordering, or deep links to the systems you already run. We build on all three, so our recommendation comes from how you sell.

Shopify

A hosted platform for straightforward retail. The right call when your products and pricing fit its model without workarounds.

Best when:

You sell direct to consumers

Your products and pricing are simple

You want hosting fully handled for you

Our default for B2B

WooCommerce

Full control over pricing, content, and checkout, with no percentage fees on your sales.

Best when:

You want full control over how your store works

You want to keep your margin on every sale

Content and SEO matter as much as the store

Custom

For commerce logic no plugin covers: pricing engines, custom portals, rental systems, and deep integrations.

Best when:

No plugin handles your pricing or ordering

You need a portal, rental system, or configurator

The store runs a core part of your operations

The Staging Store

Place a test order before your customers do.

Before launch, your store runs on a private staging site. Browse it, place test orders with your real pricing, taxes, and shipping, and check that each order lands in your systems. Problems show up on staging, where they cost the least.

1

Open the link

Your store in progress, on a private staging site. Nothing goes public until you approve it.

2

Place a test order

Real products, real price rules, and test payments, exactly as a customer will see them.

3

Check the back office

Confirm the order reached inventory, accounting, and shipping the way it should.

The Process

Our e-commerce development process, from scope to launch

You always know which step your project is on, like tracking an order.

Discovery

We map your catalogue, pricing rules, shipping logic, and the systems your store has to talk to, before any code is written.

Estimate

You get a written scope, a price, and a timeline before the build starts.

Build

We build your store on a private staging site. You place test orders and give feedback before anything goes live.

Checkout testing

Our QA team tests every checkout path: pricing rules, taxes, payment methods, and mobile screens.

Launch & migration

We move your products, customers, orders, and redirects from your old store, and check everything before the switch.

Ongoing care

Security updates, backups, and monitoring on a monthly plan, from the team that built your store.

What It Costs

Know the price before we build.

Every store is different, so we won't publish a price list that's wrong for your project. Here's how pricing works:

1

Discovery

Step one is technical discovery.

We document your products, pricing rules, integrations, and checkout flow into a complete scope.

2

Estimate

Then you get an estimate.

A price and timeline based on that scope, so you know what you're paying for before we start.

3

Build & care

Then we build and look after it.

Once your store is live, it runs on a monthly maintenance plan that keeps it fast, secure, and up to date.

FAQ

Questions store owners ask

Still have a question?

Email us at info@graphem.com. We respond within 30 minutes during business hours.

Should we use WooCommerce or Shopify?

It depends on how you sell. Shopify works well for straightforward retail. If you need custom features, special rules, or deep integrations, WooCommerce or a custom build gives you more control, without percentage fees on your sales. We'll give you a straight recommendation on the first call.

Will moving our store hurt our search rankings?

Not if it's done right. We map every old URL to its new page, carry over product content and SEO settings, and test the redirects before launch.

Can you connect our store to our inventory or accounting software?

In most cases, yes. During discovery we check what your software allows and how often your data should sync.

Can you take over a store someone else built?

Yes. We audit the code, plugins, and hosting, fix what's urgent, and tell you honestly whether it's worth keeping.

Do we own the store and the code?

Yes. Your code, your data, and your hosting accounts belong to you.

What happens after launch?

A monthly maintenance plan covers security updates, backups, uptime monitoring, and fixes, handled by the team that built your store.

Where is your team?

Vancouver, Canada.
